DRUMSLICE

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2025-08-21

This Privacy Policy explains how Area 61 Worldwide (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Drum Slice (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

What We Collect

  • Account & Auth Data: Email, OAuth identifiers (e.g., Google, X/Twitter), and basic profile info managed via Supabase Auth.
  • Subscription & Billing: Customer IDs and subscription status via Stripe. We do not store full payment card details.
  • Content You Provide: Audio uploads and/or links (e.g., YouTube URLs) to process drums; generated previews and ZIPs; filenames and derived metadata (duration, format).
  • Usage Data: Logs, device/browser info, approximate region, timestamps, request metadata, and in-app events to keep the Service secure and improve performance.
  • Cookies & Local Storage: For authentication, session continuity, and basic preferences.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service (including audio separation and slicing).
  • Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
  • Detect, prevent, and address security or abuse.
  • Communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

AI & Audio Processing

Audio you provide is processed by our pipeline (e.g., separation/slicing workers). We store temporary artifacts like previews and ZIPs in Supabase Storage. We do not sell your audio. Unless we explicitly say otherwise, we do not use your files to train models.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase (auth, database, storage, edge functions).
  • Stripe (payments, billing, customer portal).
  • Hosting/CDN (e.g., Vercel) for application delivery and logging.
  • External Sources: If you provide a YouTube (or other) link, we may fetch the audio for your personal, authorized use within the Service. You are responsible for rights to any content you submit.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

We process personal data on the bases of contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligation (compliance).

Retention

We retain account, billing, and log data as needed to operate the Service and meet legal requirements. Uploaded files and generated assets may be kept for your convenience; we may periodically purge old or temporary data. You can request deletion (subject to legal holds and our need to maintain operational logs).

Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Portability and restriction/objection (where applicable).
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise rights, contact us at info@area61records.com. If you’re in the EEA/UK, you may also complain to your local data authority.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region).

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., TLS in transit, provider-level encryption at rest). No method is 100% secure.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Changes

We’ll update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Effective date” and, when appropriate, additional notice.
